Blue Moon Series was created outdoors in the twillight hours under the soft light of the moon (cafe lights and a fire). Night after night, the evenings were cool and filled with very happy, noisy locust. My two dogs wiped out from eating dinner nestled in their beds beside me while I painted. I love summer in Colorado!

This series was created in the heat of the day! The first signs of spring were everywhere. The daffodils were blooming! I love Perennials…they pop up whithout any effort and bring happiness to the day. The garden is constantly evolving and sharing. I have a prolific flower garden, so every room in the house is blessed with a bud.

Horizons is a body of work I created for my December show at Walker Fine Art. In this series, I’m responding. Being still and taking in the landscape, the horizon. A meditation of time overlapping time as if my aperture has been left open.

This series embodies Colorado in the winter. That crisp, fresh, sparkly snow coating everything in its path. The sun’s glow illuminating off the earth. The crunch of snow and ice giving way to my weight, my runny nose and rosy cheeks. Love everything about Colorado…
